‘Vantage Point’ exhibit continues at SUNY
“Vantage Point,” the Department of Visual Arts and New Media’s spring senior show, is open at the Cathy and Jesse Marion Art Gallery at SUNY Fredonia’s Rockefeller Arts Center now through Sunday. The exhibition includes artwork by 14 senior art majors. It is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Trinity United Church of Christ free community meal
GOWANDA — The Trinity United Church, located at Erie Avenue and Park Street, will host a take-out only free community meal at the Park Street entrance on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. or gone. The menu is pork medallions, au gratin potatoes, vegetables, bread and a cookie. Free will donations are appreciated but not necessary. Drive East Main to Railroad Avenue and then down Park Street, following the signs, or walk up. Free will donations are appreciated, but not necessary. The next meal is June 10.
Findley Lake
fundraiser set
for Saturday
FINDLEY LAKE — Alexander Findley Community Library is having their Spring Craft Fair Fundraiser on Saturday. The Spring Craft Fair will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Findley Lake Fire Hall, 10372 Main St. All proceeds support Alexander Findley Community Library, member of The Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System.
The event will include more than 30 vendors, cookbooks, homemade creations, 50-50 raffle, vendor auctions, homemade food and desserts, free giveaways. The lunch menu will include doughnuts, Smith’s hot dogs, sloppy joes, chicken noodle soup and homemade pies.
CVCS Board to hold budget

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Cassadaga Valley Central School Board will hold a budget hearing at 6 p.m. Monday in the middle-high school multi-purpose room.
Chicken barbecue planned for May 26
A Chiavetta’s chicken barbecue will be at Lucky Lanes, Route 60, Fredonia, from noon until sold out on Friday, May 26. The meal includes half chicken, tossed salad, baked beans, roll and butter. Cost is $15 cash or charge by Forestville Chapter 247, Order of the Eastern Star.
Coin club
meets next week
The Lake Shore Coin Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Dunkirk Elks Club. Guests welcome.
