Conservancy co-founder
BEMUS POINT — The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy will be holding a recognition reception for John Jablonski III on Thursday, July 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Lawson Center Boat Museum in Bemus Point.
The reception is in honor of Jablonski’s co-founding of the organization and his numerous contributions and accomplishments while serving 32 years as its executive director. Jablonski stepped down from the role this past February and now serves as (part-time) special projects coordinator.
The reception will offer light hors d’oeuvres and desserts, a cash bar, and live music by Bill Ward. At 7:30 p.m., Chautauqua aBecky Nystrom, will deliver remarks and give a short presentation.

Veterans 4 Christ plan Saturday brunch
BROCTON — This Saturday, Veterans 4 Christ will provide a free brunch for a veteran or active duty military member plus one. The brunch will be at 10 a.m. and held at Tri-Church Parish, 41 E. Main St. The church is air conditioned and totally handicap accessible.
At the brunch, Barb Cessna from Fenton Historical Society will speak on Vets Funding Vets program which she leads. Also, a Federal Benefits Officer will be at the brunch to discuss new benefits for veterans.
