Shrine of Unborn Mass is Monday

The 25th anniversary of the Shrine to the Unborn will be celebrated with an outdoor Mass with Bishop Michael W. Fisher on Monday at 6 p.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Route 60, Dunkirk. Please bring a chair. In case of rain, the celebration will be held at St. Anthony’s parish at 42 Orchard St., Fredonia.

Parking lot dance is Sunday

CASSADAGA — On Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. there will be a parking lot dance at the Cassadaga American Legion, 228 Maple Ave. It is open to the public. Music by Family Tradition, Bubba’s Food Wagon, Off the Stick Ice Cream Truck. Come dance, visit with friends, bring a chair to relax, and have a fun afternoon! In case of rain, the dance in our will be in the legion hall.

Casino trip planned July 31

There will be a senior citizen casino bus trip to Salamanca on Monday, July 31 leaving from the John W. Dill Post 434 (American Legion in Brocton) at 9 a.m. for those residing in the Brocton, Portland, Westfield areas and proceeding to pick those up living in the Dunkirk, Fredonia, Silver Creek areas (behind Big Lots). The cost is $39 and includes the roundtrip transportation, $25 free play with an additional $10 bonus free play and either $5 or $10 food credit — depending on partial or full bus capacity. Lighthouse yard sale planned

Dunkirk Lighthouse yard sale will be from Aug. 11 to 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the lighthouse grounds, 1 Lighthouse Point Drive, Dunkirk. All proceeds benefit the Dunkirk Lighthouse.
