Computer classes set for city library

The Dunkirk Public Library, 546 Central Ave., has announced the following computer classes: Aug. 8 from 1 to 2 p.m., Facebook; Aug. 10 from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Ancestry Library Edition; Aug. 15 from 1 to 2 p.m., Android Phones; Aug. 16 from 1 to 2:30 p.m., iPad Class; Aug. 18 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Cleaning Up Email; Aug. 23 from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Ancestry Library Edition; Aug. 24 from 1 to 2 p.m., iPhones; Aug. 30 from 1 to 2 p.m., E-readers and the Libby App.

Space is limited and registration is required for all classes. Call 716 366-2511 to reserve a seat.

‘Woof ‘n’ Wine’ event planned

Liberty Vineyards & Winery is hosting “Woof ‘n’ Wine” to benefit the Lakeshore Humane Society on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. This will be at Liberty Vineyards & Winery, 2861 Route 20 in Sheridan.

Attendees can bring their dogs to this fun event. Tickets are on sale at Liberty’s website – www.libertywinery.com. The ticket includes a walk through the vineyards with wine tasting and treat/water stops, a “barkuterie” board (dog treats), a glass of wine in the vineyard-view pavilion (must be at least 21 years of age for wine), a commemorative dog bandana, desserts from Lakeshore Humane Society, and a chance to win a dog-themed wine basket.

Additional dog-related activities will be available for a fee/donation to Lakeshore Humane Society: hot dog lunch, dog nail trimming, and dog photography.

Mindszenty reunion is Friday

Cardinal Mindszenty Class of 1966 is celebrating its 75th birthday at the Firemen’s Exempt Pavilion on Central Avenue in Dunkirk on Friday at 6 p.m.

Quilt show this weekend

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Annual Quilt Show will be held by the Valley Historical Society on Saturday and Sunday at the museum on Main Street. Quilts will be displayed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 1 to 4 p.m. Quilts may be dropped off at the museum on Friday after 1 p.m. Please contact Betty Jean Ridout at 716-962-2309 if you need to have your quilts picked up.
