Silver Creek Senior Citizens meet
SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek Seniors met on Aug 22 with 31 members and guests present.
President Sally Conover opened the meeting with everyone saying the pledge to the flag and singing “God Bless America”. She then welcomed Brooks and Debby from South Carolina and Penny Goebel. Chaplain Pauline Flitt read the passage “After the Storm is Over.” Lunch included a wide variety of salads and desserts.
The 50-50 winners were Stan Thompson, Eleanor Lemiszko and Joan Militello. Winners of the gifts were Janice Snyder, Jeanne Blakely and Brooks. Wheel of Fortune lucky winners included: Gene Chesbro, Dixie Carlson, Stan, Brooks, Judy Hahn and Arlene Miller. Lorrie called bingo and winners were: Gene Chesbro, Eleanor, Mark Langer, Earl Sheeler, Marge Church, Candy Weitz, Janice Snyder (twice), Jan Polvino, Kim Adams and Harry Suski.

County Planning Board meets Tuesday
PORTLAND — The Chautauqua County Planning Board’s monthly meeting will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesdayat Luensman Overview Park at 7896 Thayer Road.
