United Senior Council to meet Oct. 12

LAKEWOOD — The United Senior Council of Chautauqua County will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Lakewood American Legion building. Enter on the far side of the building. Attendees are asked to bring toothbrushes or toothpaste to the group’s October or November, which will be donated to the Office for the Aging for needy seniors. All county seniors are welcome to attend the meetings.

Mayville Senior Citizens gather Thursday

MAYVILLE — The Mayville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Thursday at the VFW in Mayville. It will be a change to sign up for the Harvest Dinner in November. Bring a dish to pass.

Dunkirk Conservatives set

Conservative Party candidates for city of Dunkirk offices have set a get-together at 9 a.m. Saturday in the American Legion Post 62 on Central Avenue.

Ashley Lockett, treasurer candidate, and Common Council hopefuls Linda Stolinski (councilwoman at large), Don Williams (First Ward) and Nancy Nichols (Fourth Ward) plan to attend.

Breakfast will be offered by The Catering Co. A $12.50 donation is requested.
