Fundraiser breakfast set for Saturday

Chadwick Bay Chapter of DeMolay International, will be hosting a fundraiser breakfast on Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m., at Forest Masonic Lodge, at 321 E. Main St., Fredonia. The breakfast will be raising funds for the Battle Within Foundation, as well as to assist with Chapter day-to-day functions.

The Chapter is still seeking to raise enough money to sponsor a local “Let’s Talk” Bench through the BWF, whose main goal is to raise awareness, and assist in prevention, of PTSD and Veteran suicide. It has become an alarming but all too familiar, and unacceptable statistic in the news recently, that an average of 22 veterans commit suicide every day, due to scars left from the traumas incurred during battle. More information may be found at thebattlewithinfoundation.com .

DeMolay International is a young men’s organization which seeks to develop the leaders of tomorrow, alongside their sister organizations, Triangle, and Rainbow, for young women. All of these organizations seek to teach leadership and organizational skills for youth, including public speaking, event planning, charitable and service works, reverence for God, dedication to Country, importance of education, and physical and mental well-being. More information may be found at beademolay.org

The breakfast will consist of eggs made to order, pancakes, french toast, sausages, juice and coffee. The breakfast will cost $10 for adults, and $5 for children under 12.

Starting at $3.50/week.
