St. Rose Society Christmas cookie sale underway
FORESTVILLE – The St. Rose Society is accepting orders for its Christmas cookie sale. The plates of delicious homemade cookies will be wrapped and ready to give. Each plate contains 40-plus cookies at a cost of $25 per plate. Italian fig cookies are $16 per pound.
To order, contact Theresa Edwards at 716 316-9821 or Aimee Rogers at 716 870-5087. Orders can be picked up at St. Rose of Lima Hall, 11 Center St., on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Drive up to pick up the pre-ordered cookies.

Church plans Dec. 16 ham dinner
St. John’s United Church of Christ will hold its monthly dinner on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Dinner will include ham, scalloped potatoes, vegetable, and dessert. Eat in or take out. Price is $13. Order tickets at the church office at 716-366-0710.
Christmas concert planned
in Brocton
BROCTON – Jamestown Harmony Express will be performing its Christmas Concert Sunday, Dec. 3 at 4 p.m. The concert will be at Tri-Church Parish, 41 E. Main St., Brocton. There is no cost for this concert but a donation would be graciously accepted. There will be light refreshments after the concert.
Jamestown Harmony Express has been performing for more than 37 years. The music director is David Lewis. Dave King, Dan McLaughlin and Thomas Galbraith are the assistant directors. Dan McLaughlin is also the coach. The group may be reached at http://www.harmonyexpress.com/.
