Seniors meet Tuesday

BROCTON — Brocton-Portland Seniors met on Feb. 27 at Tri-Church with 42 members and one guest present. Emma McBride was welcomed as a new member.

President Margaret Jagoda opened the meeting with a prayer by Christine Gilardo and Doug Chatley’s Pledge of Allegiance by members, followed by a tureen lunch. There were three birthdays. It was noted that members Pauline Johnson and Sue Schrantz passed away recently.

Bingo and 50-50 drawings were held. Details for the deluxe bus trip to Lancaster, Pa., in October were announced. Robin Carr has more information.

Information was given regarding individual donations for the Brocton playground restoration where high winds and downed trees recently destroyed equipment.

The next tureen luncheon and meeting will be Tuesday, with a speaker sharing information on Hospice Care. Members are to bring their own table service, plates and cups. Dues are due at this time.

Bingo will be played with donated items. New members are always welcome.
