Library plans April 6 eclipse event
CASSADAGA — Looking forward to the Solar Eclipse on April 8? Cassadaga Branch Library will present an Eclipse Storytime for young children on Saturday, April 6 at 11 a.m. “A Few Beautiful Minutes” by Kate Allen Fox will be read while enjoying eclipse-appropriate snacks and handing out the rest of our library’s free glasses for the Monday event. Cassadaga Branch Library will be closed on Monday, April 8, to reduce local traffic.
Laona egg hunts set for March 30
The Laona and town of Pomfret egg hunt will be on Saturday, March 30 at 10 a.m. at the Laona Playground. There will be parking on Porter Road.
This is for all ages to 11 years old. Older youth are welcome to help the younger ones. We will be having a bunny raffle and giving away two 24-inch bikes, donated by Jim Thompson and Julie Nelson.
Please dress accordingly to weather conditions.
All proceeds go toward next year’s Easter egg hunt. For any questions call Evie Sievert at 716-673-1051.
Band set for Dom Polski Club
HOOMAN will be performing at the Dom Polski Club, 179 Lake Shore Drive, Dunkirk from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 7. The event is open to members and eligible guests.
