Revitalize Dunkirk planning Saturday cleanup

On Saturday, Revitalize Dunkirk, Inc. is facilitating a community trash cleanup from 9 a.m. to noon. The group will meet at the city parking lot at Lakeshore Drive and Washington Avenue for a waiver sign in. After a brief safety talk provided by a Dunkirk Police Officer, volunteers will pick up trash downtown and along the waterfront. Gloves, trash bags and refreshments will be provided. Come on down and help us pick up!

Cemetery group meeting on Tuesday

The Willowbrook Park Cemetery monthly meeting will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Mackowiak Funeral Home on Doughty Street in Dunkirk. All plot owners may attend.

Westfield Planning Board to meet

The Village of Westfield Planning Board has scheduled a work session meeting on Monday, April 22 at 4 p.m. in the North Room of Eason Hall to continue to do work on the Community Gateway District Rezoning.

Solo artist coming to SUNY April 23

SUNY Fredonia’s Music Industry Program is having June Millington, solo artist and member of the all-female rock band Fanny, come to the campus to perform with some Fredonia students and discuss her career. She will be performing on Tuesday, April 23 at 7 p.m. in Thompson Hall W101. This show will be an opportunity for music industry students, musicians, and fans of June and Fanny.

Westfield Antique Show moving to Mayville

The annual Westfield Antique Show continues its tradition in July of presenting a variety of dealers and their collections in a new location.

Sponsored by the Chautauqua County Historical Society, the show will be held at the Chautauqua Suites Hotel & Expo Center at 215 W. Lake Rd. in Mayville from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 20 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 21.

Admission is $10 per person or $15 per couple.

The move to a larger facility enables more dealers to participate in the show, which began in 1938. Furniture, glassware, silver, jewelry, books, art, clothing, and unique collectables by regional dealers will be displayed.

Cookie sale planned at SUNY

Chadwick Bay Area Girl Scouts will be holding a Girl Scout Cookie Sale at the State University of New York at Fredonia Friday to Sunday.

Girls from Northern Chautauqua Catholic School Troop 20021 assisted by Service Unit Leader Abigail Spaulding will be at the University Commons Building in the Hallway between Starbucks and the Bookstore next to the stairwell. Times for the sales are: 3 to 8 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday; and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

All cookies are $6 a package, these include Thin Mints: Peanut Butter Sandwich; Caramel Delights; Peanut Butter Patties; Adventurefuls; Lemonades;Trefoils,Toast Yay; and the Gluten-free caramel Chocolate Chip Cookies.
