CVCS plans pair of meetings

CASSADAGA — A special meeting of the Board of Education of the Cassadaga Valley Central School District will be The Front Porch Promise, 7431 Route 60, Cassadaga on Monday and Wednesday at 6 p.m. The purpose of the meetings is to discuss matters relating to the employment histories of a particular person or persons and matters related to the hiring of a new Superintendent of Schools.

Church plans Sunday concert

STOCKTON — At 11 a.m. Sunday, soloist Dan Schall will present a concert in the Stockton Community Church at 4554 W. Railroad Ave. Schall is from Zelienople, Pa., and through his music he spreads his love for Jesus Christ. Schall focuses on encouragement and God’s love for mankind. A freewill offering will be taken. The concert is open to the public.

Veterans 4 Christ gather Saturday

BROCTON — Saturday at 10 a.m., Veterans 4 Christ will meet at Tri-Church Parish, 41 E. Main St., for brunch. It is free for a veteran or active duty military and their plus one. The speaker will be from the Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union. The topic will be about a new program that they have for veterans.

‘Common Ground’ screening is Saturday

The Green Sanctuary Team of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua will hold a free film screening of the film “Common Ground” on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at 222 Temple St. in Fredonia.

“Common Ground” is a new film about how regenerating the world’s soils has the potential to rapidly stabilize Earth’s climate, restore lost ecosystems, and create abundant food supplies. This film explains why transitioning to regenerative agriculture could be key in rehabilitating the planet, while simultaneously invigorating a new sense of hope and inspiration in viewers.

Sons of Legion meet Tuesday

The Sons of American Legion Squad 59 will be holding its monthly meeting for April on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Post 59, 156 E. Main St., Fredonia. The following items will be discussed at

the meeting: squad 59 elections for 2025 will be during the May meeting with anyone interested in joining the board is welcome to attend and the upcoming meat bingo scheduled for June 15.

All Squadron 59 members are encouraged to attend the meetings which are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month.
