Brush collection

planned in village

The village of Fredonia will be picking up limbs and yard waste beginning Monday at 7 a.m. Collection will continue until every Village street has been completed. Bags and brush are collected separately by different crews. All items for collection must be at the curb no later than 7 a.m. Monday. In no case will there be a repeat collection of areas completed.

Yard waste must be bagged or in barrels and residents are encouraged to use biodegradable bags or barrels and all limbs and brush must be tied with twine.

Limbs and brush must be cut no longer than 4 feet in length with bundles being no larger than 18 inches in diameter. Bundles and bags are limited to 65 pounds in weight. There is no collection of loose material. No loose leaves will be picked up.

Residents are reminded that they can bring yard waste to 176 Eagle St. No bags or containers shall be left behind.

Lakeshore Humane Society plans

The next general membership of the Lakeshore Humane Society will be held at the Lakeshore Humane Society Adoption Center, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk on Thursday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome. See www.lakeshorehumanesociety.org or call 716-672-1991 for information.

Roblin Steel Coffee club will be gathering at Demetri’s Restaurant, Dunkirk, at 9 a.m. Friday, May 10. All former employees, family and friends are always invited to attend.

Planning Board

meetings planned

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Planning Board will be holding its Capital Projects Review meetings on Tuesday from 1 to 5 p.m., and on May 21st from 1 to 5 p.m. Both meetings will be held in the Legislative Chambers Room at the Gerace Office Building at 3 N Erie Street, Mayville.

Farmland Protection Board meets Monday

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board will be holding a meeting at 9 a.m. Monday.

The meeting will be in Room 331 of the Gerace Office Building, 3 North Erie Street, Mayville This meeting is open to the public. The meeting is also available by videoconference by going to the link https://chqgov.webex.com/meet/sharpl
