Silver Creek sets multi-class reunion

SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek Class of ’65 is again inviting anyone who went to Silver Creek School in the 1960s to a multi-class reunion. It will take place in the Silver Creek Ballpark on June 18 at noon, gathering at 11:30 a.m., eating at 12:30 p.m. You are asked to bring a dish to pass, your own non-alcoholic beverage and lawn chair – -and lots of memories, pictures, and memorabilia to share. No reservation is required. Spread the word to your classmates!

Coffee Club meets June 14

Roblin Steel Coffee club will be gathering at Demetri’s Restaurant, Dunkirk, at 9 a.m. Friday. All former employees, family and friends are always invited to attend.

Reminder of First Friday Street Closure in Westfield

WESTFIELD — Due to First Friday in Westfield Route 20 — East Main Street — will be temporarily closed to all traffic from Portage to Union Street, with limited traffic from Union to Pearl Street, from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Detours will be posted. First Friday is coordinated by the Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Brooks-TLC Hospital System, AHN Westfield Memorial Hospital, Westfield Boatworks, Community Bank, Wanderlust Custard, CJ’s Pizza and California Dreamin’.

The State Department of Transportation has granted the street closure permit in order to make the event safer for all participating.

Legion Auxiliary meets Tuesday

CASSADAGA — The Cassadaga Legion Auxiliary will hold its June meeting Tuesday. This meeting includes a potluck dinner, to begin at 6 p.m.; meeting and installation of the 2024-2025 officers to follow. Bring a dish to share. All members are encouraged to attend; new ideas are always welcome in our mission to help veterans and the community.

Willowbrook Park Cemetery meets next week

The monthly meeting of Willowbrook Park Cemetery will be on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Mackowiak Funeral Home on Doughty Street in Dunkirk. Everyone is welcome to attend.
