Meat and shrimp bingo set for Saturday

The Sons of the American Legion, Squad 59, will be holding a new and improved Meat and Shrimp Bingo fundraiser organized by Dave Schanzlin on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Post 59, 156 E. Main St., Fredonia. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Twelve rounds of meat and shrimp bingo will be played and the rounds are from Lakeside Market in Angola.

All proceeds from the evening assist with Post 59 veteran functions and money for expenses at Boy’s and Girl’s State. Members and guests welcome.

Door prizes of wine donated by David Dengler and the BBQ door prize utensils were donated by Home Depot.

Interact Club sets bottle, can drive

BROCTON — On Saturday, the Brocton High School Rotary Interact Club will be having a bottle and can drive from 9 a.m. to noon at the Brocton Central School Bus Garage located on School Street. All proceeds from the drive will be used to assist in the club’s International Service Project.

Pancake breakfast set for Sunday

SUNSET BAY — Sunset Bay Auxiliary is having a pancake breakfast June 16 from 9 a.m. to noon at Sunset Bay fire hall. Cost is $10.

SCOPE meets Tuesday in Mayville

MAYVILLE — S.C.O.P.E. is the Shooters Committee on Political Education. The next Chautauqua County SCOPE meeting is Tuesday at 7 p.m. Discussions on “Defending the rights of New York gun owners” will take place at the VFW, 10 Memorial Drive. Meetings open to the public.
