Blood drive held in city today

An American Red Cross Blood Drive, sponsored by Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, and the Rev. E.G. Waller, pastor, respectfully asks for the community’s support. There is a vital need to overcome last month’s 20,000 donation shortfall. The Blood Drive will be today from noon to 5 p.m. at Fredonia CIED (formerly SUNY Fredonia Incubator), 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk.

Country Kids on the Fly meets Thursday

SINCLAIRVILLE — Country Kids on the Fly will meet at the Sinclairville Free Library, 15 Main St., on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. This is a free program for ages 8 and up to learn fly tying and fishing techniques. All tools and materials will be provided. Adults are welcome too! City church offers free lunches for youth

From Monday to Friday, starting this week, Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. E.G. Waller, pastor, is partnering with Chautauqua Opportunities Inc. to give away lunch bags for all children 18 and under. After 1 p.m., if lunches are still available, church members will stay and give out until lunches are depleted. The church is located at 18 E. Second St., Dunkirk.
