CVCS plans special meeting

A special meeting of the Board of Education of the Cassadaga Valley Central School District will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Middle/High School Multipurpose Room and via Zoom at https://zoom.us/j/4674970239?omn=95237387537.

Valentine Flats area to close starting Monday

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has announced the temporary closure of the Valentine Flats parking area and associated trails at Zoar Valley Multiple Use Area and Unique Area, beginning Monday. This closure is necessary to accommodate trail repair work. DEC anticipates the Valentine Flats parking area and trails will reopen Friday, Sept. 6. Other access points to the Zoar Valley Multiple Use Area and Unique Area, including at Forty Road, as well as the Holcomb Pond and Ross Pond areas, will remain open to visitors. Library plans jam session

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Free Library invites the public to participate in a jam session led by Rico Garfalo on Thursday at 6 p.m. Bring your voices and/or instruments and come together to make music in our community.

Audience members are also welcome, so please come to listen and encourage participants. A Yamaha electric keyboard and an acoustic guitar are available for use during jam sessions. The library is located at 15 Main St. and can be reached by calling 716-962-5885. The library will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 to observe Labor Day.
