Foliage at peak

levels in area

Beautiful peak foliage will be found in parts of all nine Upstate New York regions this weekend, as it makes its way out of the upper elevations of the Adirondacks and Catskills. Most upstate foliage will range from midpoint to near-peak of change. This is according to the field reports from more than 85 volunteer observers for the Empire State Development Division of Tourism’s I LOVE NY program.

Locations with peak leaves this weekend will include: Ticonderoga (Adirondacks), Northville (Capital-Saratoga), Liberty (Catskills), Binghamton and Cooperstown (Central New York), Waterloo (Finger Lakes), Chautauqua (Chautauqua-Allegheny), East Aurora (Greater Niagara), Ogdensburg (Thousand Islands-Seaway), and New City (Hudson Valley).

Foliage will be at around midpoint of change on most of Long Island and will still be in the early stages of transition throughout much of New York City.
