Program focuses on breast cancer
Friendship Missionary Baptist Church Women’s Ministries is having a program to raise awareness and funds for the American Breast Cancer Foundation. With cancer affecting so many people in our community, the church has a need to do its part in trying to get the word out about this disease.
Brooks-TLC Hospital personnel will be presenting information about breast cancer and several testimonials from survivors of breast cancer. The program is Sunday at 3 p.m. at 18 E. Second St., Dunkirk. The community is invited and welcome to attend. If you have any questions, please call (716)366-7272 or email fbc18east2@gmail.com.
Auxiliary notes upcoming events
CASSADAGA — The Cassadaga American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1280 held its regular meeting earlier this month. Guest Diman Smith spoke about an upcoming spaghetti dinner to celebrate American Education week that will recognize local veterans that are or have been teachers in the area.

A donation was made to the Cassadaga “Citizens for a Better Cassadaga”, and the organization is collecting food for local pantries.
