Special cat
adoption
opportunity offered
The Lakeshore Humane Society has a special cat adoption opportunity now through the end of January. If you have room in your heart and in your home to expand your pet family, when one cat is adopted, the adoption fee for a second cat will be waived, regardless of the age of the cat. This is made possible through the generosity of an anonymous benefactor.
The usual cat adoption fees are $60 each or $90 for two. For kittens (under five months), the fees are $75 each or $110 for two. For senior cats (over 8 years old), the adoption fee is $30 each.
All adoptions include spay/neuter; microchip; rabies, distemper, and leukemia vaccinations; FIV/FeLV testing; flea and worming treatments; 10 day health guarantee; and a 30 day refund for return of a cat if there is not a good match with the adopter.
The Lakeshore Humane Society holds Open Adoption Hours Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. (except Dec. 25 and Jan. 1), and Saturdays from noon to 3 p.m. (Individual appointments outside these times are also available.) The LHS Adoption Center is located at 431 E. Chestnut St. in Dunkirk. For more information about the cats and dogs in need of loving homes, see the Lakeshore Humane Society’s website – www.lakeshorehumanesociety.org, visit LHS’s Facebook page, or call 716-672-1991.
