Flight scholarship applications being accepted

The two scholarships to be awarded this year are The Fran Bainbridge Flight Training Scholarship and the Aero Club of Buffalo Aeronautical/Aviation Educational Scholarship. The Aero Club of Buffalo will receive applications until the deadline of Sunday. For full details go to aeroclubofbuffalo.org

Holy Week events announced

BROCTON — The Brocton-Portland Ministerial Association announces the following special events during Holy Week. On Thursday, April 17 at 7 p.m. in Tri-Church Parish, 41 E. Main St. will host a Maunday Thursday Service.

The Brocton/Portland Ministerial Association Good Friday Service will be held at noon on April 18 at West Portland Baptist Church, 7081 East Route 20.

Tri-Church Parish will hold a Good Friday Service at 7 p.m. on April 18. Easter Sunrise Service will be at 7 a.m. at the Brocton Baptist Church, 33 W. Main St., Brocton on Sunday, April 20. On Sunday April 20 at 9:30 AM during Sunday School, West Portland Baptist Church will host a Community Egg Hunt for children and teens.

Fredonia Ukulele gathers Saturday

Fredonia Ukulele will gather Saturday at Domus Fare Restaurant, 41 W. Main St., Fredonia, from 5 to 7 p.m. Play immediately (all ability levels); no experience necessary. The group is all about making music as a community. The goal is to have fun and to make music. Ukuleles provided or bring your own. Play, sing, or just enjoy listening. Come and go as you please.

Sheridan Cemetery Association to meet

SHERIDAN — The annual meeting of the Sheridan Cemetery Association, Inc. will be held on Monday, May 5 at 7 p.m. at the Sheridan Historical Society for the election of directors and the transaction of business. All lot owners are eligible to attend.
