Sons of American Revolution Meeting Saturday

The Chautauqua County Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will be meeting Saturday, May 10. They will meet at the Stockton Hotel, Stockton at 12:30 p.m. for lunch and business. This month’s meeting is preparation for several Patriot Marker dedications and the 200th anniversary of General Lafayette’s visit to Fredonia. SAR and DAR members are encouraged to attend, as well as anyone with a desire to join the organizations.

Fredonia ukulele session Saturday

On Saturday, May 10, at Domus Fare Restaurant, 41 W. Main St. Fredonia, from 5-7 p.m. will be a ukulele session. Play immediately (all ability levels); No experience necessary. It’s all about making music as a community. The goal is to have fun and to make music. Ukuleles provided or bring your own. Play, sing, or just enjoy listening. Come and go as you please.

Westfield Village Board schedules executive session

WESTFIELD – The Village Board of Trustees has scheduled a special work session meeting to be held on Monday, May 12 at 4:30 p.m. in the North Room of Eason Hall to discuss the employment history of a particular person or person(s). Therefore, The Board will immediately go into executive session.

Villenova Burial Association meeting Tuesday

SOUTH DAYTON – The Villenova Burial Association will hold its annual spring meeting on Tuesday, May 13, at 6:30 p.m. at the Villenova Town Hall, 1094 Butcher Road, South

Dayton. The Association Trustees would like to encourage all members of the Association (anyone who owns a lot or has family members buried in the Villenova Cemetery) to attend this upcoming meeting. The Association needs your involvement and input.

Sons of Legion meets Tuesday

BROCTON — The Sons of the American Legion, Squad 434, will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday. The meeting is held at the Brocton Legion starting at 7 p.m. Election of officers will be held. All members are encouraged to attend.

Stockton townwide cleanup for residents planned

STOCKTON — A townwide cleanup for residents only on Friday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, May 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Deliver trash to the Highway Department storage building, 4696 Railroad Ave. The town is accepting appliances, trash and junk only. No garbage will be accepted. Tires, liquid waste, paint, oils, batteries, computers, appliances with freon (i.e. humidifiers, refrigerators) can be accepted.

Appliances containing freon and electronics, including computers, are accepted at the following transfer stations: Fredonia, Falconer, Sherman and Frewsburg.

Senior Center plans ‘Vendors and Bake Sale’

The Dunkirk Senior Center will be having a “Vendors and Bake Sale” on Saturday, May 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dunkirk Senior Center, located at 45 Cliffstar Court. Various vendors with their items and homemade baked goods will be available. Lunch will be available to purchase. There will be a raffle for a homemade baked good tray.
