Dance party, picnic planned for village youth

The Fredonia-Pomfret Recreation Department is hosting a Dance Party at Lambert Avenue Playground on Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for Fredonia-Pomfret youth. Parent and guardian supervision is not needed, but welcome. The playground counselors will be in attendance and there to provide fun! There will be current kid friendly hits to dance to! Snacks will be provided.

The Fredonia-Pomfret Recreation Department is hosting a picnic in the park with Nickel City Reptile at Barker Commons Gazebo on Wednesday from 12 to 1 p.m. Come out and enjoy this fun filled animal show.

Car show planned July 27 in city

The Craig Sutton Memorial Car show will be Sunday, July 27 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Dunkirk Memorial Post 62, Dunkirk. The first 50 cars will receive a gift. Basket raffles, food and refreshments will be available. From 2 tp 5 pm., the Zen City band will be playing 1950s and ’60s music. Proceeds will benefit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, the Wounded Warrior Project, Rural Ministries and the American Legion Post 62 Veterans.

SOAR group meets on Tuesday

SOAR Chapter 4-1 will meet Tuesday at the USW Local Union Hall on Fourth Street in Dunkirk. The meeting will commence at noon with lunch to follow. All SOAR members and retirees are invited to attend. For further information, call 716-366-1485.
