School Board meeting rescheduled
RIPLEY – The regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Ripley Central School District scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 6:30 p.m. has been rescheduled to Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the Superintendent’s Office (Room 119) of the Ripley Central School for the purpose of any and all items that come before the board.
Roblin Steel Coffee Club to meet
The Roblin Steel Coffee Club will be gathering at Demetris Restaurant, Dunkirk at 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 12. All former employees/family/friends are always invited to attend.
Access Chautauqua Schedule for September 13-19
Access Chautauqua, carried on Spectrum cable channel 1301, will have the following shows for the period Sept. 13-19.
Chautauqua People, hosted by John Viehe, will have guest Allen C. Steere, MD at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., and then Rick Evans at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Chautauqua Sunrise, hosted by Doc Hamels, will have guests Libby Sciarinno and Don McCord, Westfield Cemetery Walk/Grape Festival. The program is live at 9 a.m. on Saturday, then repeats at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. each day.
Fresh Perspectives, hosted by Gail Erb, features Michael Oliva, Author of The Penitent Affair. The program is at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m.

AJ Wahl: A History of Manufacturing in Brocton
BROCTON – The Historical Society of Brocton-Portland and Town Historian Rob Pawlak present: AJ Wahl: A History of Manufacturing in Brocton.
Join Roger Wahl and members of the Wahl family for a presentation on the history of AJ Wahl and its impact not only in our community but worldwide. The Wahl Family will discuss the company’s beginnings, what it produced, and how their products were used all over the world. Company memorabilia will also be on display.
The event will take place Saturday, Sept. 13 at 4 p.m. at the J.W. Dill American Legion Post, 110 W Main Street, Brocton.
This event is free to all.
