Debate for county clerk is Oct. 14
JAMESTOWN — The League of Women Voters of Chautauqua County will host a Candidate Forum between Gregory Carlson and Gregory Krauza, candidates for Chautauqua County clerk. The forum will be held on Oct. 14 at 5 pm at the Robert H. Jackson Center on 305 E. Fourth St. All are invited to come to this event. Questions can be submitted to croxtonlwvchq@gmail.com or bring your questions with you. These written questions will be submitted to the candidates and read by the moderator.
Author to visit Fredonia library
Local romance author Joan Wahl will be appearing at the Darwin Barker Library in Fredonia on Saturday at noon. She will introduce readers to her newest release, “Falling for Autumn,” book two in her Music City series. “Falling for Autumn” is the follow-up to book one entitled “Summer Lover in Music City.” Both books will be available for purchase and she will also share a few “hints” on book three in the series, “Brennan’s Winter Promise,” coming in November 2026.
CVCS board to meet Oct. 8
The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Education of the Cassadaga Valley Central School District will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. in the Middle High School Multi-Purpose Room and via Zoom.
Grange plans chicken barbecue
Fredonia Grange 1, on Tuesday, is holding a chicken barbecue in the parking lot of Lucky Lanes, Fredonia. The barbecue will begin at noon and continue until sold out. Each dinner is $15. Come on out and support your local Grange!
