Trunk or Treat event in Fredonia
The Fredonia-Pomfret Recreation Department would like to invite all witches, fairies, superheroes and more to its annual Trunk or Treat event! Join in for a spooktacular day of safe, family-friendly fun! Decorated trunks, costumes, music and of course … CANDY! Whether bringing the kids to trick-or-treat or signing up a trunk, all are welcome! The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Russell Joy Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Anyone interested in performing or signing up a vehicle can email the Fredonia-Pomfret Recreation Director, Angela Mackowiak, at fredrec@netsync.net.
Computer classes set at library
The Dunkirk Public Library, 536 Central Avenue has announced computer classes for October, including: Ancestry Library Edition on Wednesday from 1 to 2:30 p.m.; Cleaning Up Your Email on Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon; Digital Tips to Help Avoid Scams on Oct. 21 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.; Learning All About Tablets on Oct. 23 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.; Everyday Uses for Your Cell Phone on Oct. 28 from 11 a.m. to noon; Ancestry Library Edition on Oct. 30 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Registration is required for all classes. Call (716) 366-2511 to reserve a seat. Personal Devices may be needed for some classes. Gain valuable tech skills by coming to Tech-Talk Mondays. Wreath workshop set for Saturday
BUSTI — The Busti Historical Society will host a fall wreath making workshop on Saturday, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Society grounds, 3443 Lawson Road. The cost is $25 per person, supplies are included.
