Halloween at the

Mill is Sunday

JAMESTOWN — All are invited to a family friendly “Halloween at the Mill” haunted house event on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. The Busti Mill and the Miller’s House will be dressed as haunted houses to tell the stories of the Brothers Grimm tales that involved mills.

The non-scary event is a guided tour featuring costumed actors, activities and refreshments. The tours start at 4, 4:30. 5, and 5:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults and children 12 and under are $5.

Towel bingo at Gowanda Moose Lodge

GOWANDA — The Gowanda Moose Lodge will hold towel bingo at the Lodge, 201 Aldrich St., Gowanda on Nov. 2. Doors open at noon. Admission is $5, extras are $2. There will also be a basket raffle and 50-50. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Club Associates meet Sunday

The Northern Chautauqua County Club Associates meeting is this Sunday at the World War II Veterans club. The meeting is at 10:30 a.m. All club members are invited to attend.

Safe Halloween event on Saturday at SUNY

The student Percussion Guild at the State University of New York at Fredonia will host a Safe Halloween event on Saturday.

The free event is slated from 1 to 4 p.m. on the second floor of “New” Mason Hall. Children should be accompanied by an adult.

Villenova Burial Association sets meeting

SOUTH DAYTON — The 2025 Annual Fall Meeting of the Villenova Burial Association will be held Monday, Nov. 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Villenova Town Hall, 1094 Butcher Road.

This is a member meeting for anyone who owns a lot or has a family member buried in the Villenova Cemetery as a member, you are a part of the VBA and responsible for the cemetery’s future operation and upkeep. The Trustees of the VBA would greatly welcome your attendance at, and participation in, this meeting, as we work to preserve our 200-year-old cemetery.

SOAR plans Tuesday gathering

SOAR Chapter 4-1 will meet Tuesday at USW Local 2693 Union Hall on Fourth Street in Dunkirk. The meeting will commence at noon with lunch to follow. All SOAR Members and retirees are invited to attend. For further information, call 716-366-1485.
