Family breakfast planned for Sunday

Forest Lodge 166 F&AM will be holding its monthly Sunday Family Breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, This all-you-can-eat breakfast will consist of eggs made to order, pancakes or french toast, sausages, fruit cocktail, juice, milk, coffee, and tea. Due to increasing costs of supplies, the cost for the breakfast will be $13 for adults, children 5-12 $6, and under 5 is still free.

The breakfast is open to the public, and everyone is welcome and cordially invited to attend, (all-you-can eat is eat-in only). Anyone with interests in, or who has questions about Free Masonry will be given a tour of the building at the asking. Forest Lodge is located at 321 E. Main St, Fredonia. For this breakfast the Lodge will be collecting food donations for the local food bank.

Bring a non-perishable food donation to help neighbors in need, and get a $1 off of the cost of an adult breakfast.

Legion Auxiliary meeting Tuesday

American Legion Unit 62 Auxiliary will be holding its monthly meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m. All members and guests are welcome.

Gowanda Moose plans holiday events

GOWANDA — Gowanda Moose 1382, 201 Aldrich St., will be holding several holiday events during the coming weeks. On Saturday, they will host a Holiday Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items include candles, soaps, homemade crafts, jewelry, aromatherapy, gifts, Mary Kay, Tupperware, clothing and more. There will also be a 50-50, basket raffle, and food will be available.

The Moose Club will take part in the Christmas in Gowanda Extravaganza on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Features include Christmas crafts, cookies, cocoa, visits with Santa at 12:30 p.m., a goody bag from Santa, a few guessing games and a coloring contest. For details, call 716 532-4882.

The Gowanda Moose 1382 member and guest Christmas Buffalo Bills party will take place Sunday, Dec. 21 at noon. Members are welcome to bring an exchange gift up to $15 value and marked male, female or unisex. Bring a dish to pass or a dessert. For information, call 716 532-4882.

Congregation notes Sunday speaker

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua (UUCNC), located at 222 Temple St. in Fredonia, holds a Sunday Worship Service at 11 a.m., both at their physical location and on Zoom. For those wishing to join us virtually, please visit https://tinyurl.com/caluucnc. Click on “Worship Service” on the date you are attending and scroll down for the Zoom link. For those attending the in-person service, please follow the driveway and park in the lower lot behind the building. Handicapped parking is located between the two buildings and directly behind the second building.

The theme for November is Nurturing Gratitude. On Sunday, join us for Keep the Fire, with popular guest speaker Flip White. He will talk about compassion and the education of the heart.

Flip White, Seneca Nation, Wolf Clan, has previously served as a Tribal Councilor for the Seneca Nation, is the former Director of Career Development at Seneca Gaming as well as a former Education Director for the Allegany Territory. A military veteran, Mr. White is now retired and was elected to the Salamanca City Central School Board and continues to work with the non-profit Agwadeyesta’ Do:ge:h which means “We learn together.”
