Club Associates hold meeting
Last week, the Northern Chautauqua County Club Associates held its monthly meeting at the Fredonia Beaver Club.
The meeting was well attended and the group was welcomed by Dave George, president of the club. All officers and all the clubs were present.
The Guest Speaker was Chuck Gajewski from Ray Gay sales in Buffalo. Ray Gay sales specializes in fund raising supplies and specialty items for clubs and fraternal organizations. Gajewski talked about the differences in the different games and fundraisers and their potential profit for the club.
He also talked about how hard it is to get volunteers and the importance of keeping them and taking care of them. The meeting was closed at 12:20 p.m. and the next meeting will be at the Kosciuszko Club on Dec 14 at 10:30 a.m. All member clubs are invited.
Blood drive planned in Westfield
WESTFIELD — The Westfield Fire Department will be holding a blood drive on Friday, Dec. 12 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Westfield Fire Department on Clinton Street. Those wishing to donate should be at least 17 years old or 16 years old with parental consent. You should weigh at least 110 pounds, have no tattoo or piercings in the past 3 months, and be in general good health. Please eat before donating, and a photo ID is required in order to donate. All blood types are needed and walk-ins are welcome. If you would like to schedule an appointment time please call Nancy at (716) 753-6641. Every donor will be entered into a drawing in which four lucky winners will win a $100 gift card.
Bills Boosters to gather Sunday
The Southern Tier Bills Booster Club will be joining the First Ward Falcon Clubs second annual Pams tailgate party, to watch the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers game on Sunday. Game time is 4:25 p.m. Members may bring a dish to pass. Food and prizes will be available during the game.
Steel retirees plan Dec. 6 breakfast
Al Tech and Dunkirk Specialty Steel Retirees will meet Saturday, Dec. 6 at 8:30 a.m. at Central Station Restaurant in Dunkirk. Please note the change of venue. All retirees are invited to attend.
