The program is at no cost to adults aged 55 and older in Chautauqua County. Sessions will be at the Fredonia First Methodist Church on Wednesdays from Jan. 21 to Feb. 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Choir rehearsals
begin Sunday
Fredonia Community Choir will begin rehearsals for their late April concert this Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Edward’s Waterhouse Inn, 71 Central Ave., Fredonia. The piece chosen for this concert is one of composer Dan Forrest’s newest works, “Creation.”
This piece will be accompanied by a small chamber orchestra. If you are a person who enjoys singing in four parts and you haven’t done so in a while this might be just the right group for you. Rehearsals are most Sundays from 4 to 6 p.m. Some of the group will be traveling to London, England, in June to experience singing this piece with the composer. We welcome persons who have sung with us in the past as well as those looking for a fun choral experience. The choir is under the direction of its creator Phillip McMullen and is under the not for profit Play on Arts Studio on Main Street umbrella.
