moves service to Saturday

SILVER CREEK — Trinity Lutheran Church has changed its Sunday service to Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. Pastor Matthew Schettler of St. Paul’s in Fredonia is serving as our vacancy pastor.

On Saturday morning following worship, the congregation leaves the church “refreshed and renewed by the vibrancy Schettler gives to his sermons. He gives us hope and a fresh out look on the daily trials we face each day,” a parishioner said.

Club Associates plan Jan. 31 banquet

The Northern Chautauqua County Club Associates will hold its Installation Banquet on Jan. 31, at 6 p.m. at the Elks Club Lodge 922 in Dunkirk. The bar will open at 5 p.m. for cocktails, dinner at 6 and the installation of officers to follow.

Member clubs and their members are encouraged to attend, members should sign up through their respective clubs. RSVP by today.
