Legion Post 59 sets Chili Cook-Off

American Legion Post 59, located at 156 E. Main St., Fredonia, will hold a Chili Cook-Off on Sunday at 2 p.m. The event is open to the public. There will be trophies, prizes and bragging rights for the following categories: traditional chili and open category — chowder, gumbo, soup or side dish. The cost is $5 for entry, taste/judge. All proceeds benefit the flagpole project.

The Dunkirk Historical Society will hold its next monthly meeting at the Dunkirk Historical Museum, 513 Washington St., Dunkirk, on Tuesday at 6 p.m. All members are encouraged to attend.

County Board of Health

to meet on March 19

MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Board of Health will hold their quarterly meeting on Thursday, March 19, at 6 p.m. in the HRC Building, Fourth Floor Conference Room, 7 N. Erie St.

Comments received from the public will be accepted as communications, and not read during privilege of the floor. Public comments at the meetings during the privilege of the floor must be made in person.
