Blood drive set for today

WESTFIELD — This March, the Community Blood Bank is giving donors even more reason to feel lucky. As part of its 60th anniversary celebration, CBB is offering all presenting blood donors in the month of March the chance to win an Orlando vacation for themselves and a guest, made possible in part by Breeze Airways.

Throughout the promotion, every donor who gives blood at the Erie Donor Center or at a mobile blood drive will be automatically entered to win the getaway. The winning donor will receive roundtrip airfare from Erie to Orlando for two on Breeze Airways, along with gift cards to be used toward hotel accommodations and entertainment, helping create a memorable vacation experience.

Westfield Memorial Hospital will be hosting a back parking lot bloodmobile from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.

Veterans 4 Christ gather Saturday

BROCTON — On Saturday at 10 a.m., there will be a free brunch for veterans and actice-duty military and their special one. This brunch is homemade by the volunteers of Veterans 4 Christ. It is served to you by the volunteers of Veterans 4 Christ. There will be guest speakers that speak on a topic of interest to veterans. The brunch is held at Tri-Church Parish at 41 E. Main St. The church is handicap accessible. Please plan on joining us.

TEA Party to talk consolidation

JAMESTOWN — All are invited to the monthly meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Patriots on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road for a discussion on Chautauqua county consolidating taxpayer-funded schools, town governments, and public services.

What are the cost-benefit factors? Is it better to keep school districts separated or consolidated? What is the best way for the greatest efficiency of how taxpayer money is used in the county? We welcome your input.
