Revitalize Dunkirk offers reminder on cleanup

Can you help us? Revitalize Dunkirk invites members and the community to join in its annual trash and garden clean-up in conjunction with National Fuel’s Day of Doing. It will be held Tuesday from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. with a rain date of April 24. Bags, gloves, and some tools provided. Meet at the Dunkirk Pier prepared to get dirty and help spruce-up the city!

Veteran, legion events are planned

A pair of events involving the legions and veterans group are coming up. On Sunday at 10 a.m., the Chautauqua County Joint Veterans Council will host a breakfast meeting at Frewsburg American Legion, Samuel Derby Post 556, 9 Meadow Lane, Frewsburg. On Tuesday, April 21, at 6 p.m., the Dunkirk Memorial Auxiliary Unit 62 meeting will take place.

Villenova Burial Association plans events

SOUTH DAYTON — The Villenova Burial Association will hold its annual spring meeting on Tuesday, April 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the Villenova Town Hall, 1094 Butcher Road, South Dayton.

Association Trustees would like to encourage all members of the Association (anyone who owns a lot or has family members buried in the Villenova Cemetery) to attend this upcoming meeting.

The Association needs your involvement and input. Also, for lot owners, family members and anyone who might need Community Service points, the Annual Villenova Cemetery Clean-up Day is Saturday, April 25 at 10 a.m. Rain date is Saturday, May 2 at 10 a.m. Bring your rakes, gloves, and happy faces….water and donuts will be provided.

Willowbrook Cemetery group meets Tuesday

The monthly meeting for the Willowbrook Park Cemetery Board directors will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Mackowiak Funeral Home on Doughty in Dunkirk. All are welcome.
