The monthly Fireside Lecture Series at the Patterson Library continues on Thursday with a presentation on Vincent Powers, a native of Westfield who went on to win the Kentucky Derby. The lecture will be provided by Randy Anderson, executive director of the Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame.

The Vincent Powers lecture will take place at 6 p.m. on May 7 at the library and is free and open to the public. The library is located at 40 S. Portage St., Westfield.
