Wendel, Quattrone will be at TEA Party
County Executive PJ Wendel and Sheriff Jim Quattrone will be addressing consolidation for county services at the next general meeting of the TEA Party Patriots today at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road. Issues relating to Chautauqua Lake will also be discussed. Rich Lancaster will address how President Trump’s decisiveness angers many who just want problems managed and not solved. Club America students from JHS will be making a presentation at the start of the meeting regarding a club fundraiser and plans for the group during the summer recess.
Forestville sets yard sales
FORESTVILLE — Forestville Community Yard Sales will be on June 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Those who wish to participate may sign up at Cave’s Market. Cost is $5. A list of sale locations will be available at Cave’s on day of sales.
Club Associates meets in Brocton
BROCTON — The Northern Chautauqua County Club Associates recently held its regular monthly meeting at the Brocton American Legion. Commander Tim Lindquist gave the welcome address. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a moment of silence for past members.
Roll call of officers was taken and all were present. A roll call of clubs was taken and one was absent. Secretary Jim Pryll read the past minutes and treasurer Tom Halicki read the financial report. Motions were made and they were accepted.
Special guest was Cheryl Vaillancourt of the Blue Star Mothers Lake Erie. Vaillancourt talked about the Blue Star Mothers and the packages they send to deployed troops a couple of times a year. She also talked about her work with therapy dogs. The group talked about upcoming events with the clubs.
The next meeting will be Sept. 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Sheridan VFW.Members of all clubs are invited to attend.
