Library plans reading remembrance

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Free Library plans a poetry reading in memory of poet and teacher John Brantingham, who taught and published widely in the world, but locally at Chautauqua and JCC and also gave classes at our library.

This will be a time to share our own original poetry and/or readings from Brantingham’s work. Join the library on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. for a time to honor Brantingham and the inspiration that he gave us. The library hopes that it will be a meaningful time spent together in his memory. Church planning rummage sale

SHERIDAN — On Friday and Saturday, July 18, the Sheridan United Methodist Church will hold a Rummage/Treasure Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church located at 2679 Route 20. Hot dog lunches will be sold from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will also be raffle baskets to take a chance on. The sale will be rain or shine.

DHS Class of 1966 plans reunion

The Dunkirk High School 60th reunion is being held on Aug. 7 and 8. The Friday get together is at the outdoor pavilion at the Clarion/Steelbound Brewery starting at 6 p.m. There will be appetizers, finger foods and a cash bar. CMHS Class of ’66 will also share the evening. The cost for Friday is $15 per person.

The DHS celebration on Saturday will be at 64 West Main St., Fredonia, at the Mainline Bar and Grill, formerly 64 On The Rocks, beginning at 6 p.m. There will be a buffet dinner and music by Astro Galaxy Sound. The cost for Saturday is $50 per person.

We have had a number of inquiries from graduates outside of our 1966 class interested in attending. We welcome any friends who wish to join us by making their reservation and payment as soon as possible.
