Arkwright to hold Tire Amnesty Day Saturday
In honor of America’s 250 and as a show of appreciation to its constituents, the town of Arkwright will be hosting a tire amnesty day on Saturday, July 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. The event is open to all Arkwright residents as well as non-resident property owners.
Each residence or individual non-resident property owner may drop off up to 10 passenger/light truck size tires free of charge. Additionally, each residence is entitled to a coupon for a dog license which can be redeemed until the end of 2027.
There will be dumpsters available for regular household garbage - no chemicals or paint. A free hotdog lunch will also be provided. Information can be found on the Town’s website, www.arkwrightny.gov.
IDA meeting canceled
The Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency meeting that was originally scheduled for July 28 has been canceled due to a lack of agenda items.
TEA Party Patriots to meet
A deep dive on the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America) will be featured at the next general meeting of the TEA Party Patriots on Tuesday, July 28 at 7 PM at 1309 Norby Rd, Jamestown. Matters regarding election integrity will be addressed by Randy Barber and “hot points” in Chautauqua County in relation to Chautauqua Lake, homelessness, air service to Jamestown and the Dawson Metal bridge access will be covered.
