Humane Society sets monthly general membership meeting
The Lakeshore Humane Society will hold a monthly general membership meeting on Thursday at the Lakeshore Humane Society Adoption Center, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk at 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome. See www.lakeshorehumanesociety.org or call 716-672-1991 for information.
Club Associates meet Sept. 27
The next meeting of the Northern Chautauqua County Club Associates meeting will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27 at Sheridan Memorial VFW post 6390. Any and all membersare welcome to attend.
Museum open next two Sundays
EAST OTTO -- There will be two more openings for the season at the East Otto Historical Museum. The Museum will open Sunday, Sept. 20 and 27, from 1 to 3 p.m. or longer as needed.
Special appointments can be arranged by calling (716) 257-0654 as long as weather permits. Come and visit our unique museum, housed in the town's oldest building -- established in 1833 -- and according to Cattaraugus County Historian, believed to be the oldest building in Cattaraugus County. Built as a Baptist Church, the building was built pre-Civil War and pre-East Otto.
The museum is located next to the Fire Hall at 8982 Reed Hill Road.
