Al Tech / Dunkirk Specialty Steel Retirees will meet on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 8:30 a.m. at the Central Station Restaurant, Central Avenue in Dunkirk. All retirees are invited to attend.
Bills Boosters gather for Sunday tilt
The Southern Tier Bills Booster Club will watch the Los Angeles Chargers vs. Buffalo Bills game on Sunday at the First Ward Falcon Club in Dunkirk. Game time is 1 p.m. Members may bring a dish to pass.
Foliage starting to show in state
Beautiful fall colors continue to emerge across New York state, with the most significant foliage changes this weekend expected in the Adirondacks. Noteworthy changes are also anticipated for some areas in The Catskills and Central New York, according to the field reports from volunteer observers for the Empire State Development Division of Tourism's I LOVE NY program.
Locations with the most significant foliage changes this weekend will include Wilmington, Tupper Lake, Newcomb, Benson, Lake Pleasant, Long Lake and Old Forge (Adirondacks); Delhi, Windham and Highmount (Catskills); and Sharon Springs, Cherry Valley and Utica (Central New York).
