Legion Auxiliary meeting Tuesday
CASSADAGA -- The Cassadaga Legion Auxiliary Unit 1280 will hold their October meeting on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Legion Hall. All members are encouraged to attend. The organization has events coming up that need your input and assistance.
Gies to hold Sheridan town hall
Aaron Gies, candidate for United States Congress, will hold a Town Hall meeting at the Sheridan Memorial VFW Post 6390 on Thursday at 6 p.m. The post is located at 2556 Route 20 in the town of Sheridan. This is one of his series of 100 town halls before the election. Gies will speak and answer questions. Light refreshments will be served.
Sons of Revolution holding meeting
STOCKTON -- The Chautauqua County chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will be meeting on Saturday, Oct. 10, in the Stockton Hotel, Stockton, New York at 12:30 p.m. The SAR is a male lineage organization whose purpose is remembering the Patriots who fought in the war for American Independence. Anyone with an interest in American Revolutionary history is welcome to attend.
Meatloaf dinner set for Oct. 21
The John T. Murray Post 1017 Auxiliary will be hosting a meatloaf dinner Oct. 21 at 111-113 Deer St., Dunkirk, from 5 to 7 p.m. Take-outs only. Dinner consists of mashed potatoes, meatloaf, vegetable, salad and dessert for a donation of $15 to help with our programs through the year. Tickets are available at the post.
Ripley school board meets
RIPLEY -- A regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Ripley Central School District will be on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in Room 119 for any and all items that come before the Board.
