29 active cases of COVID reported by county

The Chautauqua County Department of Health reported 11 new cases of COVID-19 from Saturday through Monday. The new cases involve seven people who reside in Fredonia, two in Jamestown, one in Dunkirk and one in Falconer.

There remains 29 active cases for those who continue to recover under orders from local health officials. In addition, the county Health Department said there are currently no active cases among employees at Fieldbrook Foods in Dunkirk, though three community contacts remain active.

As of Monday, 258 county residents were in quarantine/isolation. Not all of those being monitored are confirmed to have COVID-19 but have either shown symptoms, are awaiting results or have risk factors.

There are 28 people in domestic traveler quarantine as well as two people with COVID-19 hospitalized, 574 recoveries, 10 deaths, 613 total cases and 41,169 negative test results.
