Student at Jamestown elementary school tests positive for COVID
The Jamestown Public Schools District on Friday said it has been notified by the Chautauqua County Department of Health that a student at Fletcher Elementary School tested positive for COVID-19.
The district, in a message sent out to parents and posted to its website, said the student was last at school Thursday, Oct. 8.
“We have been notified by the Health Department that no in-school contact tracing will be required,” the district said. “Please note the student was remote learning at the time of contact with a positive case from outside of school.”
“Out-of-school close contacts are being notified and appropriate steps are being taken. For more information, please visit http://jpsny.org/reopening.”
