The Chautauqua County Department of Health reported 17 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday. That makes it 129 new cases in the last week, according to statistics released by health officials.

The new cases released Friday include three in the Jamestown zip code, four in Fredonia, two in Dunkirk, two in Cassadaga, two in Falconer and one each in Frewsburg, Clymer, Dewittville and Silver Creek.

There remains 136 active cases for those who continue to recover under orders from local health officials in addition to 1,143 recoveries, 15 deaths and 1,294 total confirmed cases to date. There are also five people with COVID-19 who remain hospitalized as of Thursday.
