Deaths from COVID-19 climb in Cattaraugus County

Cattaraugus County Health Department announced during the holiday the death total tied to COVID-19 has hit 40.

The 39th recorded death was an 98-year-old female who developed respiratory failure. The 40th recorded death was a 94 year old male who also developed respiratory failure.

Through Thursday, the Health Department reported 2,204 total cases with 529 active. Recoveries from the virus totaled 1,635 and 37 were hospitalized.
