Chautauqua County reported 23 new COVID cases and one new virus-related death on Friday.

To date there have been 7,391 confirmed cases, 7,076 recoveries and 136 deaths associated with the coronavirus.

Of the new cases identified Friday, 11 came from the Jamestown zip code, four from Dunkirk and three each from Fredonia and Bemus Point.

There were currently 179 active cases, 497 people in quarantine and a seven-day positivity rate of 2.2%.

In Cattaraugus County, 25 new COVID cases were reported Thursday evening. There are currently 212 active cases, 17 people with the virus in the hospital and a seven-day positivity rate of 3.8%.

To date there have been 4,195 total confirmed cases, 3,892 recoveries and 85 COVID-related deaths.
