The Chautauqua County Department of Health reported two new virus-related deaths as well as 193 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend.

To date there have been 181 virus-related deaths and 11,794 confirmed cases in the county along with 11,190 recoveries.

There are currently 423 active cases, from information collected Friday through Sunday and representing a drop of 43; 35 people with the virus in the hospital, a drop of one from the previous day; and 1,217 people in quarantine, an increase of 25.

Of the new cases reported Monday, 65 came from people residing in the Jamestown zip code. In Dunkirk, 26 cases were recorded and 21 each in Silver Creek and Fredonia.
