Below freezing readings reported in county
In some parts of Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties, it was freezing.
The coldest temperatures of autumn were reported late Friday and early Saturday to the National Weather Service. The coldest reading came from Clymer at 22 degrees. Other areas below freezing included: Frewsburg, 24; Jamestown and Randolph, 26; Lakewood, 27; Forestville, 30; Silver Creek, 31.
Closer to the Lake Erie, temperatures were above freezing in Dunkirk, 36; and Ripley, 41.
Warmer temperatures with sun and clouds are expected for the remainder of the weekend with highs Saturday at 56 and 61 for Sunday.
