Man, 63, dies in Ischua accident involving four-wheeler

ISCHUA — A horrific accident involving an all-terrain vehicle has led to the death of a 63-year-old man.

Cattaraugus County sheriff’s deputies report the man and his son, 43, were operating the four-wheeler on their property at 5301 Miller Hill Road. Deputies said it appeared the dad, who was driving, was unable to negotiate the vehicle on a steep hill. The vehicle flipped backward and onto the occupants.

The son was taken to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo by Mercy Flight. The father was pronounced dead at the scene.

No charges were placed and the incident remains under investigation.
