Pair found with narcotics in Portland facing charges
PORTLAND — Two county residents nabbed with narcotics are facing charges.
At about 5:23 p.m. Thursday, deputies observed Rose M. Weary, 28, who was wanted on a probation warrant out of Chautauqua County, operating a vehicle on Lake Avenue. Deputies stopped the vehicle and found that Weary was operating on a suspended driver’s license and was in possession of a quantity of marijuana. A passenger in the vehicle, Larry M. Houser, 36, was found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine.
Houser was issued appearance ticket’s for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and later released. Weary was taken into custody and turned over to the Chautauqua County Jail.
